I am an experienced director and business owner. I started a company, SMS Machines and Automation Ltd in Yr 2000 and I have grown the company from a two person startup through to being a well established company with good turnover and financials, a range of value add services across a range of industries. SMS helps companies improve their bottom line through the use of Motion Control and Robotics providing both components and engineering services. My role includes both managerial and highly technical aspects but the great challenge/motivation and reward is to implement technologies which bring return on investment and be part of a team which includes SMS employees and our customers. Before founding SMS I have worked as Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Technical Sales and Account Manager for large end users, small distributors and large Manufacturers giving me experience in most areas of the supply chain. I have worked for a high growth and high tech Silicon Valley company where I started and managed the UK operation. I have a multi national network of customers/suppliers and partners with whom I have the pleasure of exchanging ideas and experiences as we strive to progress our technologies.I have successfully of managed large projects with tight timescales and restricted budgets and meeting the required deliverables using my technical,project and management experience to identify the potential bottlenecks in advance.
