One of my favorite books growing up was David Macualay’s “The Way things Work.” I was fascinated with understanding the nuts and bolts of the tools we use every day. Having explored the inner workings of many complicated systems, I feel as if I've mastered levers, gears and mirrors... but Architecture is still magical to me. Architecture is too vast, too constantly changing, to ever learn everything about it, and I think that will keep it exciting forever.

When I started fresh out of school, that meant taking in red-lined drawings and producing finished sheets. Today, that means I am assigned an open-ended architectural task and perform it with minimal oversight.This work requires an extensive knowledge of Revit, and I have taken that to the extreme of becoming a model manager. This means I am a resource for my peers, and I have also been responsible for the overall accuracy and coherency of Revit models for some large (Over 1 million square foot) projects.
