Oversee the management and development of the Midlands region. Nurture Midlands is now a significant part of the wider Nurture business. The last 2 years has seen excellent growth through increased sales and also strategic acquisitions. The midlands team have done a fantastic job of dealing with growth, whilst continuing to maintain high standards of service for our customer base. In addition I also oversee the management of Nurture Gritting which in now one of the biggest and leading commercial gritting companies in the UK

Nottingham

I was brought into the business in 2010 to create and develop a new region based Nottingham. I employed my first 2 staff in April 2010. By April 2013 I had 22 staff in my region across 4 depots. The Nottingham depot now has 4 teams running out of it and has become the main northern office and operational depot for the business. Our portfolio is healthy and continuing to grow and we have now integrated an additional layer of management to assist with operations.

Started work as a groundsman in 2000, became Assistant head groundsman in 2002, Head groundsman in 2003, Area Supervisor in 2004, Assistant Area Manager in 2005, Area Manager in December 2006 and Commercial Manager in 2008. Between 2004 and 2008 my responsibilities have included the operational running of up to a £1.5 million portfolio of work, looking after the client base, staff and budgets and also developing business within the midlands. I was responsible for managing 30 - 40 staff and looking after 60 clients and over 200 sites. I was also charged with the additional responsibility of managing various national accounts. With the development of this role has come the development and stability of the team working with me and also the client base. As a result my area provided reliability to the business and has earned me an excellent reputation. Other responsibilities included ensuring compliance to H&S, monthly reporting both operationally to clients and of financial information to my Director and careful management of all purchasing in my area. Since 2008 as Commercial Manager and one of the regions senior management team, I have further assisted the director in the running of an £8 million portfolio with responsibility for up to 300 staff including 7 managers. I was also responsible for the financial reporting of the monthly performance and all regional budgets.
