Managing a 60km Section of the new Malaysia Double Track Rail Project. There are 4 Stations included within this Kedah Line Section and work is scheduled around an extensively aggressive programme of delivery. Managing various local contractors who are installing new Signalling System from Malaysia towards Thailand.Responsible for the planning and delivery of all works in Station and Wayside areas including SERs, Line Side Enclosures, EAKs, ATPs, Track Circuits, Points Machines and Signal Heads.

Construction Manager for various stages of the £4b+ SUP works including Depots & Sidings Enabling Works Project (inc Train Arrestors); Maximum Safe Speed Project & PTI Gap & Gauge Project; S7 & S8 Stopping Systems.Additional works include Line ManagementStakeholder ManagementPlanning Access (LUL / NR & TLL) including PossessionsMonitor Contractor & Programme P3 Plans Commercial Activities including Contractor Tender attendance & Reviews. Signalling Immunisation Project

Initially involved in the production, population and management of the Ellipse Asset Register, I was then given the responsibility of Managing and Planning various on site Installation works including LOC Cases and BasesREB's Trackside Cabling and Equipment Heavily involved in the Commissioning weekends both monitoring Installation and Programme Progress.Liaison with various Sub-Contractors, Suppliers and the Client ensuring that all parties were on target to deliver to what was an extremely tight Programme.

Jubilee Line Signalling Upgrade

Line Manager for both Traffic Hours and Engineering Hours Field Engineers. Responsible for the build of Trackside and Station SERs including the Installation of all Cabinets, Racks, CMS (internal and external) and Cabling. It was my responsibility to accept the SERs from the Construction team to allow Installation works to proceed. Oversaw all trackside Equipment & Cabling Installations including CMS via trough routes, hanger routes, UTX and OTX crossings. Managed the AiP process for all new Equipment Install Designs from the Sub-Contractor. Unlimited support to TLL Commercial Team supplying various evidence and assistance with EWNs & CEs and advising on Disallowed Costs. Responsible for the QA/QC handover checks and subsequent sign off.

Connect Project - Various Lul Sites

Initially involved in the Survey & Design of SDP locations, I sought out the nearest power supplies and CMS routes to same establishing CMS availability and requirements. I then picked up the role of Station Design surveys identifying and recording various node points for Design including existing assets and Datum points.After assisting the Contractor with their detailed Install surveys, I was Site Manager for all Station and Trackside Installation works associated with the Connect Project including Power, Comms, Fibre, CMS, Equipment and subsequent SIgn Off and Handover. Fluor's on site Safety Representative and ensured that the Contractor carried all up to date Design including Change Notice Design Changes.Managed all the Station Supervisor & Control Room Installation works arranging access with LUL access teams and Station & Depot Staff.

Hong Kong Mtr

Initially the scope involved both Supervising local labour works and also assisting with pulling forward the new Airport link Station Installation works of Radio System and various Telecommunication works by way of on-site physical Installation works. As part of a 12 man team, we brought the installations on line with initial Programme requirements.I was then part of a 2 man team who initiated the Installation of the Fibre Optic Backbone including building the Fibre racks, installing the CMS to same and splicing all trackside and station cabling. My 3rd visit to the Project saw me take on the role of Site Manager responsible for teams of local labour for all aspects of Telecommunication Installation. As the works were managed by both UK & Hong Kong offices, it was essential to ensure that all designs were in sync and redline of same recorded by both offices for subsequent handover to the client.

Jubilee Line Extension / Upgrade

Responsible for the upgrade of all existing Station Comms systems in accordance with those in the JLE. There were various new CER rooms constructed on and off site and required considerable planning and Contractor liaison. Produced and populated the Project Sign off sheets and managed numerous teams of labour to clear out all snag items and arranged Inspection and subsequent handover to LUL QA

Jubilee Line Extension

Initially part of a 2 man Installation team who carried out various Telecommunication Installations at Canary Wharf Station including, PA, MDFs, Help Points, Station Telephone PABX System, PIDS & VIDS, I then moved on to assist the other Stations Install teams. Managed the complete Installation of all Platform Edge Door (PED) Alarm Systems including the on-site design of same. I was in charge of all associated works including material and equipment orders. Due to the on-site design and build nature of these works, constant liaison with GPT Head Office was required to ensure all designs were captured for Handover documentation. This was the first PED system ever installed in the UK.
