Web Designer
Current• Work collaboratively across all parts of the design process: user research, ideation, prototyping, user interface, usability testing, and design systems. • Create an intuitive and engaging digital experience for the Ontario public while adhering to strict government web standards (AODA, FLSA, WCAG). Present and articulate design decisions to a variety of stakeholders and non-designers. • Work with the agile web and product teams to design and deliver various products, including the complete redesign of the public website.• Created the Design System and Library that is used company wide (Figma).• Works with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management and user research.• Chooses and implements the best design techniques and tests for usability.• Gathers user and business requirements and turns them into initial sketches and wireframes all the way through to visual design and HTML/CSS prototyping (interface development).• Uses wireframes, flows, sketches, and customer journeys to communicate designs in order to promote cross-disciplinary team development and communication.• Understands the user and business needs and transforms them into a digital experience.• Creates sitemaps and determines the information architecture.• Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.• Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
