Gordon Harton enjoys working with businesses to help develop strategies to drive revenue and profit growth. The goal is to link the company’s “Why” to their Strategies, Actions and Results.Graduating from North Carolina State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Gordon spent 35 years with VF Corporation, a leader in consumer products and the apparel industry. He was President of Lee Jeans, a position he held from 1999 until his retirement in 2006. Prior to that he was Director of Operations for Wrangler Jeans, Director of Operations for VF Corp, VP of Operations for VF Knitwear, VP of Marketing and Sales for VF Knitwear, VP of Sales for Lee Jeans, and VP of Consumer Marketing & Product for Lee Jeans.In 2007 Gordon and his business partner started Kids Creations, a premium swingset company. The company had substantial growth in both revenue and profits during his ownership. In 2011 Kids Creations was sold to a strategic buyer.In 2016 Gordon and his business partner purchased Worldwide Steel Buildings and he became a Managing Member. In September 2021 they sold 60% of WWSB to Lineage Capital.In 2020 Gordon and his business partner purchased another company, Elmwood Reclaimed Timber and Gordon became President/CEO. In March 2024 they sold ERT while retaining the real estate.He has been a Mentor in the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program since 2013. He was the Mentor Chair from 2019-2023 and is currently the President and on the Executive Board for the organization.Gordon has been involved with many youth sports teams (basketball, soccer, lacrosse) for 40+ years as Coach, League Director and League Founder. He is currently Past President of the Lacrosse Association of Kansas City (LAKC) and a founding member and Board Member of Lacrosse the City (an organization that helps reduce/eliminate the barriers for youth to play lacrosse).
