Equality Florida is a political advocacy group which advocates for civil rights and protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender residents of the U.S. state of Florida. EQFL coordinates fundraising, lobbying, and field campaign efforts in order to achieve its goals,Responsibilities as Central Florida Turnout Director included:- Hired, trained, and managed two UCF campus organizers and 30+ volunteers- Coordinated direct mail and phone banking campaigns for voter outreach in the highly contested Central Florida region. - Assisted in event planning for fundraising efforts in Orlando, Jacksonville, and Sarasota.- Traveled throughout the state to various Pride events and managed volunteer-based outreach at each event.

- Wrote and implemented campaign plan consisting of finance, field, and strategic communications.- Raised ~$50,000 from largely small donors across Central Florida.

Managed the New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County field office for one of the most highly contested congressional races of the 2010 election cycle.Oversaw 120+ volunteers and 6 interns to achieve voter outreach goals of 80,000 phone calls and 20,000 knocked doors within the final month.
