As a seasoned information and records management professional with years of experience I'm driven by a passion for ensuring the accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of organisational information. In my current role as the responsible officer for records management at the Scottish Parliament, I define, plan, and implement the strategic and operational direction of information and records management across the organisation.Collaborating closely with representatives from all business areas, I develop, monitor, and review records management policies, procedures, and solutions. My experience includes leading the development, implementation, and management of EDRM, SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online document and records management systems.Notably, I have developed the Parliament's first and subsequent records management plans, a requirement of the Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011. Through my expertise in records retention policies, electronic and physical records systems, and team leadership, I have consistently achieved compliance with industry regulations while enhancing organisational efficiency and reducing risk.
