I have also identified key requirements for the implementation of records management systems and associated risks and opportunities.Through my expertise in records retention policies, electronic and physical records systems, and team leadership, I have consistently achieved compliance with industry regulations while enhancing organisational efficiency and reducing risk. Notably, I fulfilled Public Records (Scotland) Act 2011 requirements by successfully delivering the Scottish Parliament's first and subsequent records management plans.To assess the maturity of the records management function, I developed a maturity model, which I used as a key tool to communicate the current status of records management to senior management. I made extensive use of the maturity model to demonstrate the need for proactive action and to deliver projects to improve records management capability. All records management activities have been aligned to the maturity model, ensuring an effective and efficient process.Additionally, I have delivered data and metadata standards as part of an information management programme, enhancing organisational data quality and accessibility.
