As Vice President of Construction, I was the executive in charge of development for NEO Kissimmee Apartments. 473,980 gross sq ft of luxury apartments sitting on 16.5 acres. The project was budgeted for $65 million. This development management project was for the construction of four 3-story buildings and three townhome-style structures outfitting 305 luxury apartment homes. Other structures on the property consisted of a fitness center, pool, rooftop entertainment space, and a dog park. This position required coordinating of personnel, reporting back to the executive committee, managing costs, curating schedules, etc.

As Director of Construction and Development for Bluegreen Vacations, I led renovations and capital improvements to 21 resort properties located in areas like the Florida Keys and North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The total budget for the project was $20 million. Scope of work for each location varied, but often included renovations of soft goods, case goods, kitchens, bathrooms. Each reflected major capital improvements to the location, enhancing the amenities and earning potential for the vacation homes.

As Project Manager for Universal Creative, I oversaw the 79,106 sq ft design-build of a new 3-story ride attraction: Transformers: The Ride 3D. The project was built in the heart of Universal Studios Park and includes a revolutionary two-story ride track, interior and exterior-themed queue areas, and a fully themed, nested exterior. When taking into account budget, timelines, crowd control, and customer experience, the ride was built on a schedule of 24 hours a day/7 days a week, rotating shifts of workers and contractors. Ultimately, the $120 million project was built in record time and opened in in June 2013. My work here also included oversight of the renovations to Universal’s CityWalk, where I served as the owner’s representative for design and construction in addition to outfitting project management duties. A Certified General Contractor in the State of Florida and LEED AP, I spent much of my early career managing the day-to-day operations of general contracting firms and construction projects. From overseeing a workforce to negotiating with vendors, I have experience coordinating a wealth of projects spanning in size and scope. This fulfilling work provided me with the foundation on which I’ve built my career.

Exiting the general contracting field, I found opportunity and a logical transition to the business side of the industry in representing companies on large-scale projects. As the Director of Preconstruction, I monitored all project activity, communicating issues and progress with the company, and ultimately ensuring the timely and quality delivery of each assignment. A few of the projects I worked on in this role include: ► East Park Village: New construction of a multi-building, mixed-use development with a budget of $13 million► Walmart/Sam’s Club Renovations: Comprehensive renovation and rebranding of 3 existing facilities that remained operational for the duration of the project; $2.5 million budget each► RaceTrac Convenience Stores and Petroleum Stations: New construction of 7 convenience stores at about 5,000 sq ft each and property ranging from 1 to 3 acres; $2 million budget each► The Lemon Sports Complex: New 65,000 sq ft mixed-use, multi-sport complex, including 8 basketball and volleyball courts, classrooms, retail space, fitness area, and indoor batting cages and infield; $7.3 million budget
