Ensuring the logistic requirements and capabilities of the museum are always operational and serviceableKey accountabilities• Manage, allocate and administer the Museum’s building maintenance programs to an agreed standard utilising internal and external expertise to obtain optimum results within financial, time, conservation, Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) and other legislative requirements.• Prepare budgetary submissions and administer the allocated budget, managing expenditure within delegation in order to maintain financial targets and meet time constraints.• Develop and implement Total Asset Maintenance plans and programs for mobile plant and ensuring legislative obligations are observed.• Manage including planning, designing and implementing building configuration, facilities and fit-out, of the Museum's premises.• Plan, co-ordinate and review specific and continuing building works as well as capital projects to the Museum’s buildings, building services and sites.• Investigate, identify and monitor the overall condition of the Museum’s buildings, including co-ordinating condition surveys and analysis of all Museum buildings and formulate effective strategies for repairs and maintenance given the Department's workload, its order of work priorities and the availability of human and financial resources.• Manage a diverse group of tradespeople, technicians to gain the maximum benefit from the available skills while continuing to provide a high level of customer service.
