I am a creative professional with a formal background in music, audio, and media, currently serving as the President of Overneath Creative, a thriving commercial video company based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Over the years, my journey has led me from being a multi-faceted artist to becoming a business leader passionate about entrepreneurship and small business growth. After completing my Bachelor's degree in Music and Comparative Religion from Western Michigan University in 2008, I went on to earn a Master's in Music Composition from the same institution in 2010. Initially, my career was centered around the performing arts—performing at local clubs, events, and weddings, as well as teaching guitar and music theory. In 2010, I founded GvG Productions, which later evolved into Overneath Creative, as an extension of my passion for media production and music. The company initially offered multimedia creative services, including video, audio, photo, and music production services. Now, Overneath is focused on high-end commercial video services nationwide, while the newer GvG LLC brand focuses on audio and music production in the West Michigan area. In the past few years, Overneath Creative has seen remarkable growth and success. My focus now lies in small business leadership, guiding my team to excel in delivering top-notch commercial video services. I am committed to entrepreneurship and constantly look for ways to innovate, grow, and contribute to the business and creative production community. I am excited to continue my journey, striving to be the best business and creative professional I can be.I've been married to my incredible partner, Dannie van Gent, since 2009, and we are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Evangeline, born in 2014, and Beauregard in 2021.
