Member of technology team serving staff and students at Apple Valley High School. Technology team is responsible for long-term planning in both hardware and software for 9-12 high schools. I've also been instrumental in developing and implementing professional development activities for our staff. Recent areas of focus in instructional technology include Moodle, Google Apps, and research using online databases and ebooks.

Manage a high school media center for school with approximately 1850 students in grades 9-12. Responsibilities include print and electronic collection development, instructional support for research and use of electronic resources, and integration of technology throughout the high school curriculum.Member of Apple Valley High School technology team with responsibilities for developing, supporting, and integrating educational technologies. Part of Tech Tuesday's instructional team. Recent focus has included implementation of Moodle online instructional software and Google Apps for Education.Member of ISD 196 Technology Advisory Committee representing district media specialists.

As head coach, I hired assistants, worked with boosters, managed budgets, scheduled matches, and planned summer programs and camps.Earlier in my career I coached at Buffalo Lake-Hector Schools. Postions included Head Boys and Girls Track (1980-1985), Head Cross Country (1995-2001), Head Volleyball Coach (1980-1986), Junior High Volleyball (1999-1994), Assistant Girls Basketball (1980), Junior High Baseball (1999-2000).

Responsibilities include WAN/LAN development, school web page, e-rate program, and technology grants. Also installed, repaired, maintained hardware and software (Macintosh) in both a high school and middle school/elementary school.

All levels K-12. Duties included building and managing media collection, integrating media and technology literacy skills, budgeting, designing and managing school web sites. Taught courses in desktop publishing, video editing, and web design.Additional responsibilities included Technology Coordinator, Head Cross Country Coach, Athletic Director, Yearbook Advisor, School Photographer as well as additional responsibilities.

Planned and taught workshops on implementing new technologies for district and ECSU. Topics included introductory computers, word processing, electronic grade books, multimedia presentation, Web 2.0 tools for teachers, search skills, and more. Three courses approved for graduate credit through Hamline University.

Lead high school yearbook team in development, publication, and marketing of school yearbooks. Instructed students in photography and desktop publishing (PageMaker). Developed annual marketing plan to sell advertisements and books.

Served as Athletic Director for Buffalo Lake Public Schools (1983-1987) and Buffalo Lake-Hector Schools (1999-2000). Responsibilities included hiring and evaluating coaches, program planning, scheduling, and fundraising.

Developed and taught high school courses in United States History, Economics, Citizenship, Global Studies, World History. Professional focus was on developing challenging courses based on outcome driven methodology and authentic assessments.

Sales Representative responsible for account management and sales of office supplies, furniture, and office equipment. Employment during a one year "career exploration" leave of absence from teaching position.

Marketed life insurance and retirement investment products during one-year "career exploration" leave of absence. Left position when agency manager was charged with SEC violations.

Route driver and sales for local dairy products company. Responsibilities included daily delivery, account management, and customer satisfaction. Held this position during summers while I attended college. Also worked as substitute driver during weekends, school breaks and vacations and relief driver when needed.
