Oversees the production of an innovative online series that engages youth in communication of their stories, while at the same time, providing positive messages to audiences.

Work with local law enforcement agencies throughout the country conducting research on the influence of alcohol, prescription drugs and non-prescription drugs on drivers. Completes questionnaires in English and Spanish, collects saliva samples, and on occasion, draws blood samples. Studies are implemented in strict compliance with guidelines of human subjects’ protection protocols. Previously worked on this project in 2007.

Assigned to work with the Gang Intervention Project (GIP), in cooperation with various government agencies. Supported victims of violence including assaults and murder. Educated parents/guardians on proper child care to regain custody of their children. Chaperoned family visits with youth removed from their homes. Received training in Family Group Conference Coordination and Brief Solution Focus Counseling Techniques.

Assigned to Return to Family Unit (REFAM) to guide Spanish speaking detainees. Gathered data to develop and submit home release plan while detainees awaited discharge. Partnered with court social services, prosecutors and defense attorneys to assist juveniles detained at youth service centers (YSC) in the rehabilitation process. Responsible for improving teens’ functioning when returning to their society, family and educational environment. Trained in group counseling, therapy and youth/parent mediation.

Trained in the Missouri Youth Service Institute Model and worked in the renovated detention units. Assigned to substance abuse rehabilitation ward, supervised 20 youth, provided guidance and counseling, facilitated support group, assigned cleaning and organizing duties, recorded all activities in the ward in 15-minute intervals.

Founded and operated a real estate firm serving Northern Manhattan in New York City. Created positive, welcoming, supportive environment for residents, visitors, and property associates at all properties managed. Supervised and managed a rental property with 40+ units. Duties included but were not limited to: helping to set up budgets, qualifying future tenants, overseeing maintenance, security, pleadings for tax proceedings, rent control hearings, and permit applications; processing invoices; maintaining certificate of insurance compliance; organizing tenant files; sending out tenant memos, ensuring good communication with answering service between landlords and tenants.
