As part of the CIO Leadership Team, I lead technology for advanced research and software engineering across the nationwide health system. I led the creation of the Software Engineering Organization by bringing in best-of-breed DevOps, DevSecOps, Agile Methodologies, Cloud-Native platform development and SDLC processes, and lead the digital innovation initiatives, platform development, web & mobile strategy, software engineering and operations.

As part of the leadership team of the Chief Digital Officer, and later as part of Chief Information Officer’s office, I led precision medicine digital initiatives and technology platforms at City of Hope, and worked with the executive leadership team to help define precision medicine strategy. Founded in 1913, City of Hope is a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center and a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, making it a national leader in advancing research and treatment protocols. Managed $522M Opex and $189M Capex budgets. • As part of CIO leadership team of Xerox Healthcare, I played an instrumental role in heading architecture, technology operations, and projects for healthcare systems in multiple states. Managed a 400+ member, cross-functional team comprised of systems directors, technical/functional managers, business analysts, architects, project managers, developers, and testers. • Built and implemented the largest healthcare claims and Analytics processing platform in United States for state of CA, NY and AK. • Played leadership role coordinating with state, Payer, provider, Government Agencies driving the strategy and execution of best in class Medical management platform with Clinical data repository. Developed highly scalable reporting analytics platform for providers (Midas). Solutions Architecture Director - Office of the CTO• Led architecture, scalability, technology roadmap, and platform strategy for Xerox government healthcare software. • Built and led a 70+ person team of architects, developers, project managers, functional and performance testers to successfully resurrect a $250 million, non-functioning healthcare product with 7+ million lines of code, while scaling the product simultaneously to increase the performance by factor of 100 - all within an aggressive time frame of 7 months.• Introduced and led implementation of advanced tools like AppDynamics for instrumenting transactions in real-time.• Improved response times by a scale of 100 for critical transactions like Claims Adjudication, from 300 secs to under 3 secs for 95th percentile SLAs.• Helped creating and building the foundation of Clinical Trials, Patient engagement, Drug development, Pharma sale solutions.• Introduced and led implementation of innovative processes like Scaled Agile Framework, and tools like AppDynamics.

• Managed and led software and hardware engineering teams that built platforms for Machine to Machine (M2M) Communications. Charged with starting and delivering two new product lines as SaaS/PaaS offerings, Cloud-based Device Management (6+ million devices) and Demand Response (DR) based load control for Smart Energy Zigbee networks. • As a head of new platform initiatives, architected both products from ground up. Led and coordinated efforts between product management, sales, hardware, and software engineering teams spread across the globe to build and bring products to market in fast-paced, agile environments. • Defined the technology strategy and roadmap for CalAmp’s entry into Internet of Things (IoT) space. Collaborated with the senior management in defining the product roadmap. • Played a significant role in closing large multimillion-cloud subscription deals with large enterprise clients like Caterpillar (CAT) and Bobcat. Helped define the product strategy based on customer feedback.

• Led teams across the globe in Australia, India, and USA for different projects such as new e-commerce implementation using Magento, iPhone/iPad application development, Salesforce, and Android applications. • Defined technology infrastructure and technical strategy for design, implementation, and deployment of around 6000 kiosks across US, Canada and South America. • Architected software and hardware systems for scalability and designed some of the most technologically challenging applications that involved advanced image processing algorithms.• Winner of Masco Gold Innovation Award―highest award presented across the company for the most innovative product.

I was one of the early employees of Tavant Technologies and then held software engineering roles at ING and 20th Century Fox studios.
