Department Manager of Purification Technologies in Global Research Technology (GRT) in Novo Nordisk leading a Dept. with 9 Scientists and 12 Laboratory Technicians.We are responsible for purification and in-process analysis for in-vitro and in-vivo studies, initial process development, Super Qualifier production and Dose-Range Finding batch for new therapeutics in Novo Nordisk pipeline including transfer of process to CMC.We also support expression/cultivation with in-process analysis and ICC generation/validation. Other responsibilities include:• Allocation process for the department and overview of GRT projects in the research phase• Setting overall strategy for the department• Identification of new technologies and establishment of academic collaborations• People development and performance management• Empower people to meet challenges and make decisions• Member of the Recombinant Technologies management team

Department Head of Downstream Technologies 2 in Protein Engineering in Novo Nordisk leading a Dept. with 5 Scientists and 9 Laboratory Technicians.We were responsible for development of purification methods for new protein therapeutics in Novo Nordisk pipeline including establishment of in-process analysis. Other responsibilities included:• Allocation process for the department and overview of projects in the research phase• Setting overall strategy for the department• Identification of new technologies and establishment of academic collaborations• People development and performance management• Empower people to meet challenges and make decisions• Member of the Recombinant Technology management team

As Team Leader in Downstream Technology I am direct manager for a competent team of 12 people (Scientists and Laboratory Technicians). The major focus of the team is to support the project organization with protein supply, in-proces analysis, early process development, process transfer and downstream technology exploration.The position involves delegation of tasks and management of team members performance and development.Other responsibilities included:• Contributing to the allocation process involving three teams and projects in the research phase• Contributing to the strategy for the dept.• Contributing to the budget spendings and long term investments.

As a Senior Research Scientist in Protein Purification Technology (Dept. 1364) I am part of a department Lab- and mini pilot scale purification.

I work on the EU FP7: REDMAL project. The focus of the project is development of a malaria transmission blocking vaccine in a collaboration with Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Center (RUNMC) from Holland and Gennova Biopharmaceuticals (Gennova) from India.My responsibility is doing small-scale (1 L-scale) process development (upstream, downstream, analysis and characterisation) on the initial proces from RUNMC followed by proces transfer to Gennova.
