About Gorm G Graae
Retired manager of archives. Unfinished academic philosopher, I have tried to collect upon a life's bits and pieces of writing and reflections over the human condition. I have made research into the nature of 'socratic' dialogue: the interlocutionary situation between one human being and another in search of something, mainly values within the consciousness of a value-empty nature. An enquiry into the dilemmas of humans being animals and minds being natural. Affinities with different trends of philosophy and sciences of mind and society especially from evolutionary perspectives. I was educated partly in philosohical academy, partly in departments of real life, such as depression and humour. In my jobs I saw not as much a profession, as a provider of means. However, my goals have been, all along, to combine with collegues in mutual love and respect, so as to enhance the quality of everybody's courage and trust in each other, whatever status in the corporation. If properly spoken for to all, this could be an important part of a true human management. Human resources are ideally based upon an inner awareness of equality towards life. In practised reality, however—the ritual daily business life—they are more or less treated as economic resources for the corporation solely. With corporate life taking over more and more of what would and could be mental, spiritual and family life, man is reduced to his productive and consuming capabilities. I have been well aware of the utopian perspectives of my endeavour, and the aim, therefore, would be to provoke conversations for an alternative to 'economic man’. As such, any job can provide experiences to reflect upon. A ficticious job as ‘in-house philosopher’ might be a future position in a true department of human resources. A dialogue-person for anyone to consult, not only about conflict, but about doubts and ideas.——————————
