As Principal Researcher, I oversaw data collection processes and communicated with District officials to gain access to the research sites on a regular basis. I conducted a literature review and wrote a research protocol for Institutional Review Board. I collected qualitative data, analyzed, interpreted, and disseminated to the Adaklu District Health Directorate for policy implications regarding maternal health education programs to cover aspects of postpartum depression and increase awareness among community members. Collaborated with Adakulu District Health Directorate on community profiling.The following were key accomplishments that I attained: Identified the need for recruitment and hired Research Assistants, as well as delivered effective training sessions with a keen focus on improving overall efficiency. Conducted primary research on “The Knowledge and Perception of Postpartum Depression: An Exploratory Qualitative Study in Adakulu District, Volta Region, and Ghana”. Obtained an A+ grade and currently working only a manuscript for potential publication.
