As a Senior Advocate, I lead NRDC’s work to develop, adopt, and implement state- and federal-level heavy-duty clean transportation policies to accelerate the deployment of zero-emission trucks, reduce climate pollution and improve air quality, and increasing equity and enhancing good jobs and the economy. I also engage with partners at the community, local, state, regional, and federal levels to implement robust policies to support the transition towards zeroing out pollution from the freight sector.

Expanding zero emission vehicles in frontline communities 4. Legal or technical support of state (and federal clean) vehicle standards • Developing public-facing content such as public comments, testimony, presentations, and blogs. • Actively participating in state and regional environmental coalitions and clean transportation stakeholder groups. • Collaborating with our federal team to ensure the state clean trucks advocacy supports broader national clean truck efforts. • Engaging community groups, labor, electric utilities, automakers, equipment manufacturers, and other stakeholders to help ensure widespread access to clean transportation, including for frontline communities. • Project managing consulting work or directly conducting, leading, and/or supporting related research and analysis of clean transportation feasibility assessments and policy proposals.

UC Merced’s Office of Sustainability works to advance environmental sustainability and social justice, with a central focus on advancing multi-culturally relevant and inclusive approaches to caring for the environment. The Office of Sustainability critically evaluates its own communications, approaches and priorities to environmental efforts in order to reduce bias and elevate the voices of UCM's increasingly diverse campus community. As the Sustainability and Diversity Educational Programs Manager, I supported the Office of Sustainability’s existing programs, as well as advanced further innovation in diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and research for sustainability and environmental operations at UCM.
