About Dakim Rucker
Hello, I'm Dakim Rucker. I am someone who started editing my own videos at age 14 off the notion that I wanted to bring attention to things I found interesting and exciting. I learned through tutorials and years of practice, how to edit and create many different types of video content. I decided to pass on college directly out of high school, and instead joined the Marines. I spent six years on active duty as a combat videographer, where I accumulated quite a bit of camera operating experience. Over time, I have watched how the impact and effectiveness of video content has continued to grow. I believe those of us who create media content, have a special opportunity to influence the world we live in, and that’s what inspires me about it.I understand that not all goals are reached on an easy or traditional path. Sometimes you are required to follow your passions and takes risks to get the things you want out of life. I want to use my skill set and experiences to help those who are looking for a way to get their voices heard.
