My experience has instilled in me the belief that the constant study of both historical styles and precedents and, also, of modern approaches and new building technologies, together lead to delivering high quality, award-winning work. I have spent the past several years focused on commercial/tenant improvements, master planning and mixed-use projects ranging from dense urban infill to large scale developments. In addition, I have worked on hospitality, retail, higher education, single-family and multi-family buildings of varying styles. In various locations throughout the country from Phoenix to San Francisco to Rhode Island, I have designed seamless additions, modern interventions and renovations to historical houses and buildings. If there was "Jeopardy"​ for name the building, style, and architect, I'd be the running champion.To this day, I continuously use the important values that were taught to me throughout my education on the job. At Berkeley, my architecture studios taught me that all scales of the design, from the structural system to the colors chosen, should exhibit and carry through the initial concept. In my Master's program at RISD, I supplemented the typical curriculum with courses in furniture design, sculpture, and blacksmithing. This hands-on study infuses my recommendations for quality craftsmanship, understanding different scales, and how I use light and shadow, truly bringing the details to life.From initial concept through construction documents, I have worked hand-in-hand with the Principal Architect, as Project Manager in larger teams, and independently. I am a fast, accurate, and efficient worker in all phases of design. You'll find I have a positive attitude and am confident in my abilities, but understand that I don't have all the answers, am eager to learn new tasks and techniques, and welcome feedback and suggestions from the team.
