The molecular… Show more This internship was carried under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Anil Grover, Department of Plant Molecular Biology, Faculty of Interdisciplinary and Applied Sciences, University of Delhi South Campus.Title of internship report:"Gene Discovery: Characterization of Arabidopsis mutant plants for altered heat response".Due to increase in temperature owing to global warming, there is a constant need for organisms and plants to adjust to those changes. The molecular chaperones play a crucial role in this, especially in the plant ecosystem. Many major crops is adversely affected by this temperature change. Various chaperones, collectively known as heat shock proteins (HSPs), impart tolerance to plants against heat and other abiotic stress. This project work aims at identification of mutant lines at genomic, transcript and proteomic level to confirm the mutant gene for further research.Learn the wet lab techniques like DNA, RNA, Protein, Plasmid Isolation, PCR, Agarose gel electrophoresis, Bacterial Transformation, Restriction Digestion.
