I was attached to the Engine module change facility of SriLankan Airlines Engineering and Maintenance Department as a trainee technician for on the job training. during this period i was actively involved in all duties allocated to workshop technicians including Servicing (i.e.fan blade lubrication), modifications, engine buildups, pre installations checks of Rolls Royce TRENT77B60-16, IAE V2527-A5, CFM LEAP-1A, CFM56-5B4/3 engines and APS3200, 131-9A,331-350 auxiliary power units of A319, A320, A321 and A330 aircraft's of srilankan airlines fleet in accordance with engine/components maintenance manuals, using specified tools therein.

Here I was attached to the production planning section at Sri Lankan Airlines and I carried out the following tasks and activities related to aircraft maintenance organization (AMO) Production planning.• Preparation of man-hour database for routine tasks originating from manufacturer's documents such as MPD, SB, etc. By evaluating the historic data.• Preparation of the tools, and materials database for A320, A330 A & C Checks.• Work package preparation which includes AMM with task segregation against the trade discipline, obtaining relevant IPC details for preload materials, and compiling all relevant documentation.• Performed the work card discrepancy corrections.• Arrange the work packages as per the daily work plan. • Post C check work package auditing and highlighting relevant discrepancies for correction.• Evaluate the existing EPM (Engineering Procedure Manual) section related to Production planning and carried out the relevant amendments to align with the current organizational structure.• Preparation of production Planning Form & Tags manual with necessary amendments.• Coordinate and issue of Line & Base maintenance work packages and update the relevant records.• Received the completed work packages & audit for accurate completion for both heavy and light maintenance checks. • Prepare and circulate the Line and Base maintenance work package status report.• Coordinate ship shop ship process with relevant workshops and ensure availability of all components and parts which were removed and sent for repair or rework are received on time for on-time installation.
