The primary task is to analyze the business potential of theinquiries received in the sales phase and classify theinquiries into GO/NO-GO with the help ofthe process team.• Investigate and confirm the feasibility of modifications forretrofit boilers through studies, site visits and inspections.• Perform pre-engineering including basic drawings/ designcalculations in order to generate cost estimates for theconceived work scope.• Identify alternative approaches/ solutions to optimize thebudget for a given scope to secure the order while facingfierce competition from the competitors.• Lead and perform Retrofit Detail Engineering (Includingthe Pressure & Non- Pressure Parts, Piping and structural),Vendor Management, Erection and Commissioningsupport of Retrofit jobs.• Engage all the team members, inter-disciplinary functionsand suppliers through regular meetings to expedite/smooth execution of the work and to present top-levelwork progress to the line manager.• On-site field support to resolve any arising disputes amicably and make sure of on-time delivery.

Review the Boiler operating parameters to evaluate the boiler performance with respect to proposed capacity up gradation of boilers.Detailed calculations to be performed to understand the current design condition, Present operating condition and to suggest the future action to plan for possible capacity up-gradation of the boilers.Review of Pressure Parts / Pressure Parts sections such as furnace wall, super heater Evaporator and Economizer coils for thermal performance.Review the steam drum internal system and give the suggestions and recommendation for improvement of steam quality for trouble free operation of connected steam turbines.Perform the detailed engineering for required modification to perform capacity up-gradation of boilers.Economic selection of material specification for all Pressure parts based on max. metal working temp and code requirement.Preparation and release of raw material forecast for all pressure parts for procurement.Strength design and detailing of Boiler upgradation based on IBR & ASME.Review of the existing dust collection system and air pre-heater (APH) and give suggested for improvement of the same.Review the existing rotating equipment’s such as SA, FD & ID fans and Boiler Feed pumps and give suggestions for improvement.Review the adequacy of ash evacuation system for APH, Dust collection SystemSubmit a detailed report on our observation and suggestion for modification proposal for performance improvement and capacity up gradation.Providing clarification for the queries of plant engineers post submission of report.

Economic selection of Materials specification and thickness for all Pressure parts and piping based on maximum metal working temperature specified in contract and code requirement. Preparation and Release of Raw material forecast for all Pressure parts and piping. Co-ordination with customer / consultant for getting the approval of P&I diagrams & General arrangement drawings. Preparation of ASME calculation for getting statutory approval.
