SituationDevelop a go-to-market (GTM) strategy for three mega accounts in Wipro’s IPM-US (Industrial & Process Manufacturing- US) Division, by working with the Pre-Sales Consulting team, focusing majorly on digital transformation and connected servicesObjectives• Analyse the process industry by focusing primarily on Chemical Industry and considering Glass Ceramics Industry and Metal Industry as secondary target segments to draw appropriate parallelism• Understand the latest digitization trends in connected services and exponential technologies to identify new opportunities• Study the mega account of Wipro in each of the three target segments to create the GTM strategy, by leveraging the company’s current IPs and in-house solutionsAction• Conducted primary research via depth interviews with more than 40 industry experts and academicians, countrywide and globally• Benchmarked the current opportunities of the clients with its nearest competitors through data collected from various client partners• Analysed the industry effectiveness to understand the market deterrents for expansion and competitive strategy• Performed competitive analysis on the basis of the technological advancements and also their financial strengths to understand the value drivers and derive the digital levers that Wipro needed to focus on, for all the three accounts• Evaluated the current Wipro IPs and in-house solutions that could be leveraged to derive newer business opportunities• Identified 4 main KPIs for the process industry by analysing the challenges, based on which the main focus areas were finalised• Formulated the Mega Trends, Value Drivers and Digital Levers for the target segments to derive the GTM Strategy• Proposed 4 main opportunities for each of the mega accounts, including both short term and long-term recommendations• Conceptualised multiple business use cases for both hunting & farming accounts
