Gowri was a key GSI account partner lead for IBM. Her role involved helping grow business with the key GSI partner, build joint solutions, infuse IBM technologies and work together on a joint GTM model. Gowri has over 20 years of diverse experience in strategy, consulting, marketing, sales, research, and business development and has experience working with client CXO community. Teams she builds and manages are motivated and have low attrition. She collaborates with cross-functional teams and has held P&L responsibilities.Gowri is responsible for go-to-market strategies for IBM’s products and services for India and South Asia. She had led marketing for Cloud and Watson IoT offerings. Previously, she led marketing for Watson, Global Business Services and Industry Solutions, where she helped open the small businesses market. She drives business targets and market eminence by building thought leadership and tactics. Her strategies are driven by insights from data.Prior to joining IBM, she was the Principal Consultant at RKSWAMY BBDO. She identified a need for marketing consulting and created a new division and revenue stream. As a hands-on leader, she led many marketing consulting engagements for large enterprises, owning the entire process end–to-end. She played a key role in acquiring large clients, by building client pitches and relevant client value proposal. She conceptualized and executed several large-scale client projects.She co-authored two editions of The R K SWAMY BBDO Guide to Market Planning, a comprehensive statistical tool for market planning in India. These editions established The Guide as an industry-wide reference tool for market planning.She set up the New Delhi chapter of a non-profit, Pratham, now a large-scale project. She worked with the Government to enroll over 15,000 children in the first year of operation and raised funding, working with ICICI bank and McKinsey.
