As an OHDSI collaborator, I have brought in uses cases of payers, health economics and population health to the community. As a collaborator, my significant contributions include improvement to the OMOP CDM, Vocabulary, ATLAS software and R packages. I deployed OMOP CDM and OHDSI software, to help improve three strategic priority areas of population health, improving reporting efficiency and active surveillance. For population health, we have developed individual level predicted probabilities such as potential for future inpatient admission, non-compliance with medications or hip fracture.These individual level predictions, built using machine learning, are used to prioritize care management workflows. For reporting efficiency, we are have automated employer group level, product level and program level reporting. Automated jobs run on the CDM on a periodic basis, rendering reports with tables, graphs and text-summaries. These reports provide insights on the trends of utilization & cost of care on weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis. The CDM has integrated claims, EHR, social determinants of health to provide a holistic profile for population and individuals. Time-series analysis is being designed to produce alerts - alerts that will notify when a drug trend has changed or if there is uptick signals of a service over expected trend.
