Goytom Knfe completed his MD at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC) with VGD in 2018. Following his graduation, he served as a general practitioner within the Department of Surgery for one year, during which he assumed the role of Quality Improvement Representative. In this capacity, he led multiple improvement projects, the outcomes of which were published in reputable journals and disseminated to counterparts in other medical institutions. Subsequently, Goytom embarked on a general surgery residency at SPHMMC in 2019 and graduated with VGD in 2023. Throughout his residency, he demonstrated exemplary leadership as the batch representative and Chief Surgery Resident at SPHMMC Department of Surgery , overseeing academic and clinical activities for a cohort of over 100 residents. Additionally, Goytom possesses a proficiency in clinical research, evidenced by his extensive publication record in reputable international and national journals. He further contributes to the academic community through his role as a reviewer for several distinguished international journals. Moreover, he serves as an Assistant Editor and Production Manager of the Millennium Journal of Health, the scholarly publication of SPHMMC. Goytom is driven by a profound commitment to advancing cardiac surgery services in underserved communities across Ethiopia and Africa. Leveraging his expertise in surgery, public health, and clinical research, he advocates for the realization of essential surgical services in these communities on a global scale.
