Currently finishing up my PhD in Computer Science at University of Southern California (USC). 5+ years of experience in visual object tracking (VOT) and have been working on computer vision & machine learning problems for more than 8 years.I've predominantly used Python and PyTorch to develop models and algorithms, but have quickly adapted to other frameworks (e.g. Keras) during internships, as well as other languages in some projects (e.g. C++).- Developed deep learning-based visual object trackers and tackled the challenge of occlusions in tracking.- Created a visual object tracking (VOT) benchmark for tracking objects under heavy occlusion (https://hootbenchmark.org/).- Received the 'Summer Intern Award for Outstanding Innovation' during my internship at Nokia Bell Labs (Summer 2021).- Served as a Teaching Assistant (TA) for many years, and have enjoyed helping students better understand the course material, as well as teaching them how to debug/test their code.I'm looking forward to this next phase of my career, and finding new problems I'm passionate about where I can put my experience in computer vision & machine learning to use.
