About Greg Pack
I began my journey in technology at a young age without realizing then that it would be my career and the business I build. The early years were spent playing on a C64, an elementary school Apple II or taking any random elective in high school just to get on a PC. But that wasn’t enough, as I turned 16 years old and still didn’t have a PC of my own, I started my job at a local grocery store which allowed me to buy my first PC at around $2,300. Not only did I learn to budget and save for that PC, but I learned about customer service as a cashier.Making the hard decision to forgo a higher education and jump into the job market was a risk I decided to take. Early I worried it was a mistake, but later realized with hard work, focus, self-education, great mentors, and a little luck at times I could make it in this space. I have spent the last 26 years of my IT career focusing on several areas. Relationships, Learning, and Adapting to Change. Yes, embrace change or technology is not for you.Before starting PGH Networks I had a great opportunity to learn business in all areas. I learned what it was like to sell, consult, manage, budget, coach, forecast, adapt to market trends, and understand what having a mission, vision, and values means.Today as a business owner and salesperson, I find a great sense of accomplishment in helping others not only create a technology plan, but ultimately developing a plan that aligns with their company’s vision. I pride myself on relating to fellow owners and leaders to understand their business and challenges. Then helping them understand their options in simple terms.So, who am I outside of the day-to-day hustle?I am an outgoing people person. I love to joke around and have fun in whatever I do. I enjoy reading, exercising, dirt bikes, road biking, camping, and traveling. If there is something to see or do that is new… count me in for the experience!
