Gary Paterson Architect (esb 2009) changed to G Paterson Architect Ltd in 2015. Currently working on converting a B listed Camperdown Works Warehouse in Dundee into up to 69 flats for Hillcrest Homes. The Blebocraigs Passive House was certified 2016. Assisting Sustainable Cupar (SCIO) to progress with a potentially globally significant Community ESCo with Local Energy Scotland support as well as an active travel network around the town.

The practice was set up with the aim of producing innovative ecologically and economically appropriate design for the benefit of all. During this initial phase of the practice Gary became a Certified Passive House Designer, Domestic Energy Assessor and Green Deal Adviser and started trialing emerging electric heating technology for Social Housing Landlords because of the potential to reduce fuel poverty especially in remote communities. Gary also helped Sustainable Cupar develop its Community ESCo District Heating which now has Local Energy Scotland support.

A medium sized practice based in Dundee. Worked on a variety of community, healthcare, housing and domestic projects. The highlight was Dunholm Road housing for Abertay Housing Association which won Dundee Institute of Architects Best Housing Award 2008 and was nominated at Scottish Design Awards in same year.

A young ecologically focused practice. Projects included various domestic alterations and extensions for private clients all of which incorporate varying degrees of ecological sensitivity.

A small highland practice based in Thurso. Worked on a 6 unit social housing development for Pentland Housing Association and an award winning 16 executive flat development in a disused quarry at Castle Gardens, Thurso.
