Was responsible for Cloud technical solution design for more than a thousand enterprises worldwide and led a group of architects across North America, Europe, India, China, Japan, and Australia. Operated in this global role from New York, USA and Bangalore, India.

Responsible for making cloud computing real for enterprises worldwide, worked with several hundred companies around the world. Established and grew a worldwide team of cloud architects. Initiated and developed new cloud offerings and a number of reusable assets.

In collaboration with the Indian School of Business, responsible for furthering research in the area of Service Science, especially for emerging markets. Spearheaded a new project on smarter employability for citizens using interactive mobile cloud services.

Responsible for architecture of end user mobile technologies for enterprises spanning both knowledge workers and specialized task workers. Released enterprise offerings in this area and piloted and deployed systems with customers, especially in emerging markets.

Led and conducted research in several areas including interactive smart spaces, mobile solutions, multimedia technologies, media analytics, and next generation web services. Key innovations included self enablement portal, mobile electronic chronicles, everywhere interactive displays, and intelligent web chat systems.

Conducted pioneering research in real-time image and video processing, computer graphics, acoustic modeling, and multimedia systems.• Invented the first real-time visual information system for sports analysis. This multi-camera system tracked players and ball and produced virtual replays for live TV and the Web. This technology pioneered with TV networks and is widely used in tennis and cricket broadcasts even now after 20 years.

Worked on machine perception research, multimedia communications research, visual communications research. Invented some of the ground-breaking machine vision and machine learning systems that have become commonplace in video surveillance, customer activity analysis, and sports broadcasting systems today. Two companies were spun off based on this work.
