Teaching assistant (220h/year).PhD in statistical physics : The aim of the work was to show that some types of dynamical lattice systems like the sandpile model can be described in the continuous limit by a quantum field theory. At two dimensions, the state of such markovian systems evolves to a particular critical state which exhibits some scale invariance imposing strong constrains on the field theory. This constrain, known as the conformal symmetry, allows to fix all correlation functions of the field theory and thus allow us to compute some lattice observables impossible to obtain by the traditional combinatorial analysis.A particular attention has been given to confront our analytical results with extensive Monte Carlo simulations.
