Iot And Robotics Researcher
CurrentI'm working at LINKS Foundation as a researcher within the Connected Systems and Cybersecurity Research Area as part of the Cyber-Physical andAutonomous Systems Research Team.I mostly worked on EU Research projects such as the H2020 project CPSwarm (https://www.cpswarm.eu/) for the development of a tool-chain to support model-based design and engineering of application involving complex herds of heterogeneous Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) exploiting distributed intelligent algorithms. Moreover, I’ve been working in the H2020 research project RECLAIM(https://www.reclaim-project.eu/) looking for new technologies and strategies for the management of large industrial equipment approaching the end of their design life (industry 4.0).My activities were mainly focused on:• Software development for ROS/ROS2 platforms (UAVs and UGVs)• Research and state-of-art analysis of knowledge representation and automated planning solutions for distributed robotics applications• Research on new algorithms for efficient path planning and navigation for mobile robots to improve current ROS2 solutions• Research and state-of-art analysis of current solution for Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM)• Definition and implementation of live demonstrators with prototypal UAVs and UGVs for validation/dissemination of technological solution during internationals exhibitions• Definition of a new Digital Twin platform for the development and exploitation of fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance solutions• Design of an event-driven architecture (with Apache Kafka) for the communication among distributed micro-services• Scientific deliverable and research paper writing, tutoring of graduating student during thesis activities• Support in the writing of EU project proposals with the definition of new novel concepts• Participation to international conferences to share and present project results
