Responsible for a large team of HSEQ professionals over the Alberta region. Part of the Competency committee to proactively educate and ensure that are requirements are met according to policy guidelines and actively participate as a facilitator for the education of leaders and workers.Responsible for the Disability Management group caring for those that may be injured at work or away form work and to proactively to return those who have difficulty into a workplace that promotes early and safe return to work.Development of procedure and process to effectively permit management to safely and profitability perform work while avoiding workplace incidents.Lead consultant for our HSE professionals recognised by industry to be experts that are requested to be seconded and supportive to the needs of their organizations.

Responsible for staff of 4 managers, and 50 + various employees. Responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety, Security and Environment, as well as Industrial Security, including Fire and Emergency teams, and the Medical Centre. In charge of the Training and Development department and the creation of programs to attract, develop and retain new members of the trade skills workforce.

Started with organization as HSE General Manager however promoted to senior executive position as Chief Administration Officer. Portfolio includes: Health, Safety and Environment; Security; Quality Assurance; Information Technology; Training and Development; and, Human Resources. Within the Administration group I managed two senior managers and teams of close to 60 personnel. Some of the achievements while present include however are not limited to:• Developed FMGOC’s OH&S Program and HSE Reporting tool systems;• Developed and administered the training and development programs;• Improved recruiting and general HR department;• Implemented information technology protocols (email, mobile security, etc…);• Developed many of the operational standards and contracts;• Defined communication strategy for the entire group of companies;• Named as HSE mentor for the First Nations HSE Manager, assisted on training and developments and problem solving techniques;• FMGOC’s ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Manual;• Developed FMGOC Operational Training Standard being used across all the regional sites;• Developed security protocols within the organization.

Working with Mining and Lease Development side of the operation looking after HSE in all areas, also responsible for Shovel Maintenance and Small projects in the areas. Coaching and mentoring leaders on their responsibilities and applicable legislation regarding their portion of the business. Have completed incident analysis of previous period and generated action plan for moving forward on the reduction of injuries and development of the skills of the safe operating committee. Subject matter expert and standard owner for Ground Disturbance and Mobile welding gas equipment coaching all site on compliance and providing technical expertise.

Responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety, Security and Environment across four shipbuilding and ship repair sites. Responsible for the development and progress of twenty HSSE staff and thirty six security staff. I assisted to develop strategy for National Procurement contract for the building of the Canadian Naval fleet, developed in house protocols in HSSE for previous mentioned contract. Worked on increasing the overall efficiency of the operation while creating a HSSE culture that promoted positive growth in a unionized environment.

Hired by Terex to be the safety leader for Canada responsible for the development and implementation of all safety protocols within the country. In January 2009, completed, delivered and implemented the Terex Canada Safety program. Requested to develop and implement business management system for Terex Canada, which shall include quality and environment – currently in progress.Responsible for the education and safety of workers and managers in many mines in Canada both surface and underground. I have personally visited all the mines and maintain relationships with all the safety leads throughout the country. I am also responsible for communicating and working with all the compensation commission and regulatory bodies in the country. A formal GRTW (Graduated Return to Work) program has been instituted within Terex Canada and it is fully functional. I have been developing all system from ISO models so that Terex can successfully register these programs with little effort upon decision to do so.

Responsible for all aspects of shipyard safety and answered directly to the CEO of the Washington Marine Group. Developed and maintained procedures around the stringent protocols for the manufacture and repair of ships. In the short period of time that I was present at Vancouver shipyards I earned recognition for achieving two of the highest time loss / accident free records for the group of workers. Shipbuilding is very challenging environment for construction as there are many regulations that must be complied too. I was able to increase the safety and efficiency of confined space, hot work protocols, gas freeing of vessels and tanks as well as the general tasks in the yard. Started an in-house training system for all the workers in all disciplines of safety. Managed a team of 6 safety professionals which were trained as instructors to teach and deliver certified training to the entire staff.Developed and instituted a formal GRTW (Graduated Return to Work) program for the shipyard group. Employees were very receptive of the program and it was effective on dealing with cases in relation to Work Safe BC. Designed and developed a prototype for a fireproof welding lifejacket for welders that weld over water – Work Safe BC accepted the design and Vancouver Shipyards was to take the prototype through the CSA protocols upon my departure.Designed and implemented a new method for safety reporting in the shipyard that was adopted and used throughout the Washington Marine Group. Started and issued four quarterly newsletters for the entire staff, Newsletters were designed to educate and to increase feedback from the workers, it was very successful. Completed Miggs-Bryer testing and completed 6 day leadership development training that was available to all senior managers.

Joined the organization in August 2002 as a Naval Architect being apart of the design team. Immediately after joining became apart of the OH&S committee and assumed responsibility for organization’s safety program because of experience and training, this role was shared with the design component. In June 2004 a Quality committee was formed in which I was chair and organized the organizations quality objectives and goals. In December 2004 I was asked to represent employer as the QHSE Manager. Upon acceptance, I left the design department and established a Quality Management System that was registered to ISO 9001:2000 with zero non-conformances in November 2005. I was given the chance to work on some of the world’s most advanced offshore oil platforms, ships and technology to assist in the development of designs that allow for the safety of offshore workers.In December 2005, upon the resignation of the current VP Administration and Finance I was again asked to take on the responsibilities of Administration and Human Resources. Previous experience allowed fulfilling this role to the point of satisfaction of the organizations requirements. I resided in this role as Administration Manager, responsible for Administration, Human Resources, Quality and OH&S until I resigned.

Part of a production engineering team, responsible for creating lofting packages for the production of ships. Gained valuable experience in the procedures of a shipyard, made every effort in the quality of work. Received Health and Safety training on the supervisory level. Offered management position upon tender of resignation. Resignation was tendered because shipyard held no current contracts and no prospects from future proposals
