In 2022 I was invited to join the Else Kröner Fresenius Centre for Digital Health as a founding member in the digital pathology team, applying the knowledge and skills I had developed during the course of my PhD studies as well as my bringing the digital expertise I had developed during my time as an AI researcher at RWTH Aachen. I am responsible for coordinating research projects, overseeing junior lab members as well as hands-on implementation of AI experiments aimed at developing clinically implementable AI-based models.

In this capacity I was involved in formulating clinically relevant research questions, statistical analysis and interpretation, and effectively communicating my findings through the writing of high-quality research papers and giving presentations to my peers at relevant medical congresses.

I was employed at the university hospital of RWTH Aachen as a physician-scientist. In this capacity I was involved in conducting cutting edge medical research aimed at leveraging machine learning to develop artificial intelligence models that can be utilized in the detection, diagnosis and management of various medical disorders. I worked closely as part of a team of both clinical and technical experts to develop novel AI-based solutions to medical problems.

In early 2019, in combination with my full-time studies, I was hired to work part-time at the MUMC+ to provide telemetric monitoring of high risk cardiac and ICU patients. In this capacity I have supervision over 32 beds. This function required rapid and accurate ECG and vital function interpretation and decision making, while acting as a liaison between relevant healthcare teams.
