I’ve joined an amazing, talented and experienced team of travel volunteers whose purpose is to give help to the millions of people of the travel industry who are affected by the pandemic and need help.It’s called TravelScrum ... and everyone is welcome to give help to those who ask for help. We are a US-based tax-exempt 501(c)3 “public charity” whose purpose is to inform, educate and build new skills for workers in the travel industry.This give-back by many to many more in the travel industry is made possible by my learning, relationship-building and accomplishments over three decades.Update: I’ve started a new session as a mentor at NYU School of Professional Studies Tisch Center of Hospitality at the Hospitality Innovation Hub incubator. Since 2021, I’ve been co-chair of the Decentralized Identity Foundation travel SIG on DDID/SSI.As Chairman and investor at Phocuswright (2000 - 2012) and co-founding CEO of Tnooz (2009-2017), I’ve been at the digital intersection of how travel services and tech are distributed..As MTV Networks’ first SVP of Online & Interactive, I was present at the dawn of the internet, commercializing the web, explosion of mobile and streaming media for the entertainment industry.
