Cleaning Supervisor
CurrentAs a Cleaning Services Supervisor I manage a team of cleaners and I ensure that the work is done well. They may work in a variety of departments and areas such as AED, Maternity, Front of House and a Deep clean. Below I have listed some of my responsibilities of a cleaning supervisor:-Managing schedules: Create and manage cleaning schedules, and reallocate work when staff are absent -Ensuring quality: Inspect work areas after cleaning, and monitor performance, guide and support staff if required -Maintaining equipment: Ensure that cleaning equipment is well-maintained and safe to use -Managing supplies: Order cleaning supplies and monitor usage to reduce waste -Training and recruiting: Recruit new cleaners, and train and induct them into the team -Health and safety: Ensuring that Health and Safety and Risk Assessment standards are met, and report any failures -Administrative tasks: Meet with Departments and Areas staff in charge to discuss cleaning requirements, and prepare documentation -Staffing: Monitor and managing staff annual leave, and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained -Feedback: Provide feedback to staff on their performance and behaviour -Reporting: Submit reports to management on cleaning personnel, equipment, supplies-Keeping and Maintaning NHS high level of cleanliness-Working closely with Bed Managers, to proritise urgent clean and keep hospital to NHS Cleaning standards
