The University of Vermont AdvoCats are a group of 60+ current students who assist the Undergraduate Admissions Office in recruiting high-quality prospective students. AdvoCats are crucial to the recruitment process and to the Admissions Office because we are sometimes the only contact prospective students and their families have with the University. Our invaluable student voice is recognized as quite possibly the MOST important recruitment tool. The official title of an AdvoCat is "Student Admissions Ambassador." UVM's Student Government Association (SGA) is the organization that presides over UVM's 200+ clubs and organizations and 10,500+ students. SGA is compromised of 42 student senators, and three executive committee members, who advocate on behalf of the student body. The Club Affairs Committee is tasked with coordinating the trainings of over the 400 student leaders of our clubs, as well as assist them in the creation of new clubs and the year to year transition between their leadership teams, resolved issues and arose and advised on risk management. In my role as Chair of the Club Affairs Committee for UVM's Student Government Association, I:- Planned and ran an annual club workshop on social justice, leadership, and club management - Created and organized a digital workshop outlining SGA's Code of Conduct, University Policies, and paper advertising techniques- I restructured the entire club recognition process and wrote a Club Signers Handbook- Aided in managing SGA's $1.8 million budget and provide recommendations to SGA's Finance Committee on supplemental funding and budgeting for organizations- Crafted and scheduled mailing campaigns to 2,000+ students using Constant Contact- Directed a committee of five senators and their projects from start to completion throughout the year- Managed a $4,000 committee budget, tracked spending and allocated appropriate funds to committee operations - Represented the SGA and Student Organizations on multiple hiring committees of the Office of Student Life- Served as a student representative on the Student Organization Misconduct Panel - Served as one of 10 members of UVM's SGA Executive Committee

SGA comprises 42 student senators, and three executive committee members, who advocate on behalf of the student body.The President of the SGA has the ability to create AdHoc Committees at their discretion to handle issues of importance outside of the standing committees of the SGA. Under President Ethan Folley, myself and one other Senator were asked to Co-Chair the AdHoc Committee on Sexual Assault. This Committee focused on streamlining resources around campus, working with concerned parties, and researching the impacts of policies on various levels that impact survivors of sexual assault. In my role as Co-Chair of the AdHoc Committee on Sexual Assault for UVM's Student Government Association, I:- Met with members of the UVM Administration to discuss improvements - Advocated for survivors of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence - Coordinated efforts with other Student Governments across the country - Worked alongside other UVM organizations advocating for changes surrounding Sexual Assault Policies on campus - Researched policies at our institution and other institutions around the country

My assigned topic was the Indian Child Welfare Act and the role of Qualified Expert Witness Testimony during foster care and termination of parental rights cases.
