Grace Anuforo is the co-founder and director of the FIRST and presently the ONLY German Elementary School in Ogun state, Nigeria. She is also an expert in Literacy Pedagogy, and not only does she monetize her expertise, she provides free literacy classes to girls from marginalized communities and young adult women as well.As a result of the successes that she and her team have recorded in literacy among these underserved communities, she has been privileged to get invites from public schools and some private school owners to train their teachers on literacy pedagogy.Grace is a certified Positive Peace Activator of Rotary and the Institute for Economics and Peace. She is also a Rotary Peace Fellow and a Rotarian.Her work in the Education sector as far as Equity is concerned has earned her 3 fellowship awards in two years., the recent which is the Carrington Fellowship.Her work in the Gender and Quality Education for girls space has earned her several speaking experiences and national and international media features.Through her Non-Profit (The Graciella Initiative), she is currently working to end female illiteracy in Ogun state of Nigeria where she is based by focusing on public primary schools where there is an alarming high rate of poor reading ability in learners.Leveraging partnerships with other organizations and institutions, Grace’s NGO is also supporting females and sponsoring their education at Tertiary Education level.Grace bags a BSc honors in Physiology from the University of Ibadan, a Postgraduate diploma in Education, a Masters degree in Public Health and recently a Postgraduate diploma in Peace building and Conflict Transformation from the Makerere University in Uganda.
