I am a motivated college student pursuing a degree in Geoscience. With a strong academic foundation, relevant coursework, and a desire for knowledge. As I approach graduation, I am excited to apply my knowledge and skills to real-world challenges. I am eager to learn from industry professionals, gain practical experience, and continuously grow both personally and professionally.I began my college career in hopes of pursuing a career in Engineering, driven by my passion for problem-solving and fascination with the built environment. However, as I delved into my studies, I discovered my hidden curiosity for the natural world and awe of Earth's intricate systems. It was through my geoscience courses that I truly fell in love with the captivating realm of earth science. I was drawn in by the hands-on experiences, whether it was conducting fieldwork in breathtaking landscapes, collecting samples and analyzing geological formations or using advanced technology to uncover mysteries within our planet.I am currently pursuing a degree in Geoscience at Pennsylvania State University. My coursework has provided me with a solid foundation in how to analyze and interpret geological and environmental data. Performing and conducting fieldwork involving sampling, mapping geologic features, and documenting observations. Acquiring skills in ArcGIS and MATLAB to interpret geospatial information essential in making informed decisions on geologic history. Gaining hands-on experience in laboratory settings examining mineral compositions and rock textures. Writing technical reports, and research papers that effectively convey scientific findings. Thinking critically, forming hypotheses, and analyzing results. I am eager to leverage this knowledge to contribute to innovative solutions and drive positive change.During my academic journey, I have consistently demonstrated my dedication to excellence. I have been recognized for Chick-fil-A Remarkable Leadership Scholarship as well as the Dean's list at Penn State. Additionally, I have taken on leadership roles in Penn State THON Rules and Regulations committee, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and as a Crew Lead at Starbucks where I have developed skills in leadership, professional development, and interpersonal communication.Now, as I embark on my career journey as a geoscientist, I am thrilled to combine my engineering mindset with my earth perspective offered by geoscience. I am actively seeking opportunities to connect with professionals in environmental work and explore potential collaborations, internships, or entry-level positions.
