Lead GBM Business Analyst successfully delivering a project to migrate GBM MI into a Global Business Cognos TM1 data cube. The project took 2 years to complete and included 4 years of historical data across all 5 global regions and over 100 sites, affecting over 1200 users. This streamlined data and reporting across HSBC globally.- Defined business requirements and reviewed functional requirements around complex areas such as allocations and alternate reporting hierarchies where there were large SME knowledge gaps- Built detailed data reconciliation templates to test for differences in the existing and new data cubes across a number of complex and large sample sites and successfully eliminated all data migration issues before global roll out- Rolled out detailed data reconciliations across global regions / sites and was the key point of contact for data migration issues and resolution resulting in a nil Balance Sheet and highly immaterial P&L reconciling difference- Performed systems testing and UAT and eliminated key issues before further roll out- Analysed user access and restricted it to essential users only which ensured strict data security and control- Documented policies, processes and procedures and ‘As Is’ / ‘To Be’ states which could be accessed and understood by a significant number of users from various regions and differing primary languages- Conducted training workshops to over 50 participants per session to ‘train the trainer’ to then cascade down to the 1200+ users- Managed parallel run: - Developed an issues escalation model and oversaw issues resolution from all regions / sites - Built tracking tools to measure submission and approval timeliness and data quality- Liaised with challenging stakeholders who were highly resistant to the project and ensured their continued engagement- Worked with developers to successfully resolve functionality issues in order to meet user requirements- Co-ordinated offshore project team
