Current graduate student at Marshall University, hoping to enter the healthcare field as a PA. Earned bachelor’s degree from Marshall University in May 2022, cum laude, with minors in English, psychology, and chemistry. Special interest in promoting mental health and destigmatizing psychiatric therapy. ═════════After PA school, I aim to work as a primary care provider in an underserved, rural community in the Appalachian Mountains. My goal is to use a holistic approach to treat the physical and mental health of patients from all generations. Rural Appalachia faces many challenges such as poverty, the drug epidemic, illiteracy, and harsh stereotypes. These challenges tremendously increase the risk of physical and mental illnesses. As a PA, I will work to combat these challenges and promote overall well-being in my home region. ═════════Outside of my professional life, I love to read and do DIY projects around the house. Expressing my creative and artistic side allows me to destress after a long day and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
