About Grace Crain-Wright

I am a trained plant ecologist, who is passionate about science education and communication. I have a background in general biology, drylands ecology, natural resource management, space biology, plant nutrition, environmental sciences, and science outreach. I believe in approaching research, science and education through a trans-disciplinary, holistic lens that supports and encourages multiple perspectives. An approach that allows for a more complete understanding of the interconnections of this complex and beautiful planet.

I planned and led the 2022 GLOBE Annual Meeting (virtual with ~300 participants), the 2022 GLOBE Student Experience, and the 2023 GLOBE Student Experience (in-person with ~20 students). I supervised two web content specialists and one data analyst. Most recently, I managed the restructuring of the GLOBE Protocol eTrainings alongside educational designers from the UCAR COMET Program.
