With a class of thousands and less than 50 people in my major, I decided on a unique path. I am a student in Rowan University’s College of Engineering with a major in Engineering Entrepreneurship. With a passion for engineering, but a curiosity to know more about the business world, the Engineering Entrepreneurship program is a perfect match for me and makes me a special candidate for employers. I am a part of Rowan’s Women in Engineering club that contributes to further developing women in engineering through hands on programs and activities. Something I am very passionate about is horses. Horseback riding is an activity that I dedicated countless amounts of time and effort to with many end goals in mind. With very little resources in a highly competitive community, I was able to climb my way to the top and secure several state, regional, and national titles. My favorite part about the sport is that once one big title or goal was achieved, I could continue to set an even higher goal. This is a characteristic I will carry into my career, never settling, in hopes to continually better and upsize my company. My passion for horses eventually led to jobs. I have worked as an assistant barn manager at performance horse facility. Though it is a job many people know little about, it taught me how to deal with high profile clients, be responsible for multiple tasks at once, and overlook a timely schedule of events. My precision and attention to detail made me coveted by another facility where I received another job. My previous job experience gives me an inside look on what it takes to run a business.
