I am a part of the Implementation Services team at Epic. I implement the inpatient pharmacy application, decision support tools, infusion pump interoperability, and coordinate inpatient and emergency department cutover. On enterprise installs I manage a team of analysts and Epic application coordinators. Communication and organization is key in this role; I conduct meetings with analysts, operational leadership, and executives. I ensure key stakeholders are aware of project timelines, deliverables, and escalation points. The most rewarding part of this role is coaching and growing my team for success post-implementation. I have completed three inpatient pharmacy installs including a rollout at RWJBarnabas Health (4 hospitals), a refuel at Salem Health (2 hospitals), and enterprise install at University Hospitals Cleveland (15 hospitals).

I served as an inpatient pharmacy technician at UW Health and in American Family Children’s Hospital. I rotated through 7 technician positions in the inpatient pharmacy; the responsibilities included counting and organizing all controlled substance for distribution throughout the hospital, documenting controlled substances transactions, auditing the inventory of controlled substances, delivering a variety of medications and controlled substances to the appropriate units, as well as repacking non-sterile, non-hazardous and non-sterile hazardous oral medications.

I engaged with the patients and take them through specific exercises catered to their injury. I must ensure that the patient completes the exercises correctly and with proper form, so as to prevent further injury.

I interned for a team within the Denise Montell lab researching Mammalian Anastasis. I studied the role of mitochondria in apoptosis. I sought to answer: to what extent can mitochondria experience damage without inducing cell death. Three different cell types including Cos-7 (monkey kidney cells), Hela (human cervical cancer cells), and RPE (retina cells) were utilized in this study. My specific role included cell passaging, creating medium, and selecting monoclonal cell lines which expressed fluorescence. I understand basic cell culturing techniques, and how to identify a live cell, dead cell, and trypsonized cell.
