Working in four primary schools in the Picardy region of France during my year abroad.• Preparing and teaching English lessons for children on a daily basis• Communicating in French on a daily basis in an appropriate register with native speakers ranging from 4-65+ years• Living independently in a foreign country for 9 months in a new environment and different culture

Elected by members of the society as Vice President following a thorough campaign.• Responsible for the creating of and sending of Risk Assessments and Food Disclaimers to the union for each event organised by the committee• Supporting of all members but particularly the President, Secretary, Treasurer and Social Secretaries in decisions concerning finance, events, promotion and minute taking. • Ability to work as a member of a team, but also to step up when responsibility had to be taken and jobs needed to be done. • Participated in events such as Fresher's Fair in the new term in order to attract new members and turn increased profits on previous year's committee• Advocate of charity and voluntary work on behalf of the society, including a social arranged to raise money for comic relief and three boxes sent through UNICEF to Operation Christmas Child

Working in a local newsagent as a sales assistant.• Full responsibility of shop floor when owners were away• Responsibilities given included: supervisor functions on the till, cash lifts, locking up in the evenings and looking after the key to the building• Initiative to seek jobs out during quiet periods, ranging from refilling shelves, merchandising, adding products into the till system and general maintenance of the shop floor• Commitment to the business following a move to university in September 2013, travelling home to work each weekend and taking on overtime during busier periods such as Christmas and the summer holidays
