Project Coordinator And Experimental Lead, Climate Adaptation Research Lab
CurrentAs the project coordinator and experimental lead for Transition Salt Spring’s Climate Adaptation Research Lab (CARL), I am involved in the management, design, and establishment of research projects with a primary focus on building forest and watershed health. My role also includes planning and partaking in knowledge dissemination through educational programs and data visualization tools.My key responsibilities include:-Project Management/Coordination: I support the project by handling diverse project management needs. This includes tracking funding, financial reporting, budgeting, communications, scheduling, planning, problem-solving, and various administrative tasks.-Research and Fieldwork: I contribute to discussions, workshops, and field monitoring, particularly in the context of ongoing fuel management and forest health studies.-Fieldwork Expertise: I perform ongoing fieldwork tasks and data collection as required, ensuring the smooth execution of research and project goals in the field.-Data Visualization and Mapping: Additionally, I also play a role in CARL’s data visualization and hydrological mapping projects, enhancing the accessibility and understanding of complex data for the broader audience.
