In addition to serving, I also took shifts as Kitchen Expo. I acted as the liaison between servers and the kitchen, ensuring that food went out to the dining room efficiently and correctly. I was responsible for tracking ticket times, as well as communicating any order errors or corrections to the kitchen staff. I also closed the restaurant often in this role, coordinating with the closing servers, managers, and line cooks about responsibilities and ensuring that everything was stocked for the morning shifts.

Began as a takeout worker, packaging and handing out online and phone orders, as well as going through third party catering and delivery companies to deliver orders. Once promoted to server, I waited tables for the majority of the time that I worked at BJ’s, often closing the restaurant which included checking side work for other employees and coordinating with managers to ensure an efficient close.

Worked in a bakery setting, stocking donuts and baked goods, mostly on the weekends when we had the most business. I also took in person and phone orders for custom cakes and baked goods, often for events such as weddings, funerals, baby showers, graduations, and holidays. I handled and packaged orders, ensuring correct inventory and labeling, and checking invoices. I often opened the bakery, making sure that everything was set up for an efficient shift for my teammates. I helped in training new team members, ensuring that they understood operations and answered questions while also working busy shifts.

Tutored within the center helping students through specialized learning plans created by Mathnasium, as well as assisting with homework. I also assisted in inputting learning plan progress into our systems.

Held tutoring sessions at the homes of students whose parents had reached out to the company. I created plans for the students and helped mostly with homework, visiting from one to three times per week and kept track of progress.

In the position of President, I was the student head of the executive board and managed around 80 members of the organization. My duties included holding and leading weekly chapter meetings both in person and virtually, meeting monthly with the director of the UCR Fraternity and Sorority Involvement Center, holding monthly Executive Board meetings with advisors and our Collegiate Province director, and assisting in approving events and fundraisers. During my term, I also assisted in filling in for the Vice President of Finance, which included creating and managing the budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year and assisting members with paying and managing their finances. I approved financial and event forms and ensured that they were presentable before bringing them before the Executive Board monthly. I kept track of weekly accomplishments and tasks from members of the board and their team by having them fill out weekly forms and browsing over them, and checking in with officers if I had any questions. In addition, Fall 2021 was our first opportunity to hold an in-person event for new members since 2019 (also known as Bid Day), which I assisted heavily in planning and executing. This included finding and approving food vendors, assisting in creating and approving t-shirt and merchandise designs, and finding and decorating the venue all within budget.

In this role, I was a member of the Executive Board, as well as led a team of three in managing the ritual procedures of our chapter, the senior send-offs and experiences, and the new members through their new member period until initiation. The main priority of this position is membership retention, which I maintained well throughout my term. When handling the new members, I helped hold education sessions to inform them of the requirements of membership which include finance management, being aware of event scheduling, ensuring they attended mandatory weekly chapter meetings, and helping them network with older members. I also helped admin a Facebook where event times and dates were posted, as well as polls regarding availability, and gave them a platform to ask questions when they had them. I was a confidant for them in case they had any doubts about membership, and held meetings whether official or a simple phone call. Regarding ritual, I ensured that the member in charge of managing this was on time to meetings and held presentations to update the chapter on any changes made by Executive Office, as well as refresher presentations to remind general members of our ritual. In regards to senior experience, I aided in ordering graduation stoles and holding celebrations for our members moving onto their next period of life outside of undergrad. I assisted in holding seminars where alumnae came to speak about their careers and give information about resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and job opportunities after they graduate.

In this position, I was trained to know the ins and outs of the UCR campus with respect to parking specifically. I worked the kiosks on campus where I sold permits, gave directions, provided complimentary parking provided by various departments, and answered questions. I learned radio etiquette, as well as did cash handling when stationed in specific parking lots during events. I also drove students who registered in our mobility services for assistance in getting to classes. This task required being aware of and sticking to the given schedule.

I was a full-time employee for two summers at YZAR (months May-September for two years), which required me to be Synergo certified yearly to operate the zipline equipment. I went through annual training and certification, as well as led tours of up to 60 people through a 7-line zipline course. I was required to know how to operate both my own gear and the guests', know rescue procedures, and have excellent customer service skills to ensure that guests felt secure when stepping out of their comfort zone. I was accompanied at the least by one other guide, and communicated through radio throughout my shifts and the tours. I had to know how to talk guests through the procedures that they had to be aware of throughout the entirety of the tour, and how to respond to health concerns (especially heat-related concerns) as the summer months in Mariposa can often exceed temperatures of 100 degrees.
