Responsible for salary payrolls and the associated benefits – health, life and income protection insurances etc. I am experienced in training and currently supervise a team of 4 payroll administrators, as well as providing training for our timesheet system users at our multiple sites. In addition I maintain a couple of smaller payrolls plus directors fees/withholding tax pays. My 2IC role also involves timesheet incident reporting and testing, maintaining, interpreting and updating CEA rates and calculations as well as looking after all the waged and salaried parental leave and long service certificates and gifts.

ANZCO Foods has a centralised payroll, so I work with a team of 5 payroll administrators to process 12 weekly payrolls, 1 fortnightly payroll and 18 monthly payrolls. The payrolls vary from 5 employees to 1000 employees. We are paying 3,500 employees in the peak of the season. We have 9 different collective employment agreements as well and two ACC partnership programs. Responsible for Canterbury, Rakaia and Westmeat which all involve multiple collectives, IEAs and different processing procedures which requires me to have a firm understanding of the complexities involved in each. Canterbury itself has over 900 employees, 30 departments including day and night shifts with both daily and weekly timesheets.
