I created RCC because my passion for the rights of incarcerated people as well as eliminating the structures that encourage mass incarceration came to manifest itself into active solutions and partnerships. RCC serves as a community where individuality is encouraged and social services are the key to a happy, healthy society. As the founder and co-president, I do most of the organizing for events and scheduling, as well as maintaining the flow of the organization as a whole. Though we are a new organization, we plan to provide homeless encampments with supplies, create community gardens in underserved areas, educate ourselves and each other, and promote radically compassionate solutions towards decarceration.
